Listed below are a number of other lectures related in one way or another to Rose.
2013
Some years before the more “formal” series, Howard Caygill delivered what was “The Gillian Rose Memorial Lecture 2013”. Here is the audio (84 minutes).
Also in 2013, the CRMEP organized A Symposium on Gillian Rose’s Hegel Contra Sociology titled “Thinking in the Severe Style” (18 October 2013). It was held at the Venezuelan Embassy.
It consisted of two sessions, with the first pondering “Hegel’s Speculative Idealism Today” while the second drew on the themes “Education, Politics, Theology”. Peter Osborne and Andrew Benjamin were the speakers in the former, while Nigel Tubbs, Kimberly Hutchings and Howard Caygill contributed in the latter. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate the recordings or the actual papers. All thar remains are recordings of the discussions which followed each of the sessions.
Discussion 1 (39 minutes)
Discussion 2 (42 minutes)
